I just wanted to give people an idea that if you are looking for field seats for the show, they will be released as the show gets closer.
I went to both Bruce shows last year at Fenway.
I had roof boxes for the first night and no tickets for the second night. 2 days before the first show (around 9PM), CC released plenty of seats. I personally ended up getting tickets in Field 5, row 12. Tickets were available in the field (what they are calling the Turf this time) and field box seats. They were all gone by about 11:00.
After the first show I went home and went back on the computer hoping for another release. At about 1:00AM, it paid off. I ended up getting 8 tickets in the pit for the second show. I also bought 4 seat tickets in the 4th row of Field 4 for my parents. You can imagine sleeping was a problem after that.
After looking at E-bay today, there were few tickets in Field A's and B's. There were plenty of C's. I assume the majority of the B's will be sold to the parrothead clubs and red sox season ticket holders. The A section will come available before the show and the day of the show as the CC and the band turn them in.
Although I have field seats for the first show, I have no doubt that field seats will be available for Sunday. Friday is the prefered date as most of us work on Monday.
What experiences have you had getting tickets the week of the show?

Every show by every artist has tickets released the week of shows....its usually about 2 days before, but I've seen it be as much as a week and as short as morning of the show. You just need to keep checking Ticketmaster like crazy that week....its usually not a whole lot of tickets, but not many people know to look. If you can check every 90-120 minutes throughout that week, you're chances are good. Good luck to all those stilll looking.

true, Dean, but historically, ticket releases for Great Woods have been very few, and *very* far between. I expect Fenway will be even worse......dean_siu wrote:Every show by every artist has tickets released the week of shows....its usually about 2 days before, but I've seen it be as much as a week and as short as morning of the show. Stadium shows have a lot more releases than places like the Tweeter Center. Remember there are 80,000 seats plus luxury suites at Fenway compared to 40,000 at the Tweeter for 2 shows.
Don't let the Tweeter show few releases be any indicator of will happen at Fenway.

Um... you're a little high on your estimate there. The city caps concerts tickets at Fenway to 35,000 per show, including any luxury box seats. Still considerably more than two Great Woods shows tho!Steele1161 wrote:Stadium shows have a lot more releases than places like the Tweeter Center.
