Sorry about defiling your thread. I hope this makes up for it.

Don't worry about it. I always think of threads as conversations, not a "must stay on topic" deal.

Thanks for the link. I've never seen them live, but own a couple of their cd's.

I have seen Todd Snyder(opening for John Prine). BEER RUN is one of the greatest songs of all time.

mangoman wrote:Regarding Evangeline, there may be others but the one I am referring to released 3 records only in the '90's then broke up. Too bad...they were damn good. Checkout allmusic.com for the lowdown. I have the first 2 cd's...anybody got the 3rd? PM me if you do.
Thanks for the lowdown, I checked allmusic as well. I have no idea about the third record but would imagine it's available on the internet somewhere.

Evangeline opened for Jimmy at a show I saw a number of years ago. I remember I REALLY liked them. (I was too young to drink then, so that's why I can REMEMBER things  )

Todd Snider is one of my absolute favorites. If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend picking up his live album from last year Near Truths and Hotel Rooms.

Whatever happened to my money? What are all of these Carribean Soul t shirts doing in my house? What happened to that one t shirt I dated for a long time? Who are all of these voices in my head and why are they all singing "The Wino and I know"?
