Club Trini Question

Post by cartmill72 »

For those who saw the first leg of the tour, where did Club Trini play prior to the Buffett show? Or did they at all?

When I saw Buffett at OSU in November, 2001, Club Trini played inside the Schott in the concourse. But I figured since we have warm weather and all, that perhaps they're playing on the plaza outside the venue.

Anyone?

Thanks.

They didn't play at Charlotte. I don't think they've played before the shows since 2001. Last year they had the hula contest before the shows and 2002 was the hokey pokey contest.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Well, that makes sense. I didn't catch any shows in 2002 due to the birth of my son.

Last year we got to our seats in Indianapolis just in time for the show to start thanks to a ticketmsater snafu (they didn't print bar codes on our tickets) and I saw the hula contest in Cincinnati, but no Club Trini.

Thanks for shedding light on the subject.

And for the record, that sucks because I thought it was cool to see them play before the shows.

In Charlotte, Robert Greenidge (not sure if that's spelled right), the steel drummer, played his drums solo in the lobby for about 30 minutes. He started about an hour and a half before the show. That was all I saw.
