OK, here's my problem.

I live in NJ.

Mac McAnally's concert is in Amagansett on a Friday night (two hours east of my home).

Jimmy's concert is the next night at Jones Beach (an hour or so east of my home).

All you Long Islanders: where should I stay?

It's Labor Day weekend, so I could stay out in Amagansett for the long weekend, and travel the hour to and hour from Jimmy's concert. Except the motel rates out on the beach are EXORBITANT. Plus hubby keeps saying he's not going, so do I really want to stay out there for the weekend all by myself? I don't think so.

I could travel the two hours to and two hours from Amagansett Friday night and just sleep at home. I've done that before. But I didn't have to travel the hour to and hour from the next day for Jones Beach. Also since this is Labor Day weekend, traffic will be horrendous, and my time estimates might well be doubled.

I can't decide. Any ideas?

friday night from your place to amagasett is about a five hour trip that weekend.. and about 2.5 hours back to jones beach. i avoid the east end on holiday weekends.. and i live in between them both..
