The real indicator will be tomorrow when the Billboard singles charts are released.
The good news from all of this is RCA Nashville is going to be forced to get this song into the hands of consumers (either through a single or a digital download) fast.
Its Five O'Clock Somewhere was on radio for about four weeks before any format was available. I don't think - at least I hope not - JB and Co. will make that mistake again.

Hey Good Lookin'
I think what really makes the song is that it really is a tribute to Hank Williams. To have Buffett joined by arguably the best male vocalists in Country Music to do the song, how could any Country Music Fan not like it?

It's not a mistake... it's part of a marketing plan.cartmill72 wrote:Its Five O'Clock Somewhere was on radio for about four weeks before any format was available. I don't think - at least I hope not - JB and Co. will make that mistake again.
They generally release to radio first. If there's a video, that might be released shortly thereafter or right before the album release. Advance copies of the record will go out the week before release so they can get press and media coverage over the weekend before the Tuesday release date.

I would too. if only because they're expensive. If this single does well, then my guess is they'd consider one for the second single.Ilph wrote:I would be VERY suprised if there were a video for this song.
Pure speculation on my part tho.

Hey Good Lookin'
Thank you Conchflyr and Havana Daydream both. Is this supposed to be on the new CD? If it is, I will be wearing it out in short time.
