The real indicator will be tomorrow when the Billboard singles charts are released.

The good news from all of this is RCA Nashville is going to be forced to get this song into the hands of consumers (either through a single or a digital download) fast.

Its Five O'Clock Somewhere was on radio for about four weeks before any format was available. I don't think - at least I hope not - JB and Co. will make that mistake again.

Yeah, but even without a quick consumer release, 5 O'Clock still made it to the top of the charts. RCA could very likely do the exact same thing they did last time. A record executive's mentality: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

OK, the NEW Billboard charts have been released... all I can see is the top 20 and "HGL" is not in it. Can anybody see what # its at?

I think what really makes the song is that it really is a tribute to Hank Williams. To have Buffett joined by arguably the best male vocalists in Country Music to do the song, how could any Country Music Fan not like it?

It's not a mistake... it's part of a marketing plan.

They generally release to radio first. If there's a video, that might be released shortly thereafter or right before the album release. Advance copies of the record will go out the week before release so they can get press and media coverage over the weekend before the Tuesday release date.

I would too. if only because they're expensive. If this single does well, then my guess is they'd consider one for the second single.

Pure speculation on my part tho.

I heard it on 99.5 in Boston today the 2 DJ's were ranting and raving about it, they loved it. I'm sure they will play it a bunch just like 5:00 with AJ.

Thank you Conchflyr and Havana Daydream both. Is this supposed to be on the new CD? If it is, I will be wearing it out in short time.
