"Breezy Burnout Delivers Cartoon Version of Caribbean
From the May 20th edition of The Columbus Dispatch:
"And then there's the matter of Buffett and the cheekily named Coral Reefer Band, delivering once again its cartoon version of the Caribbean.
There is no opener for Buffett, unless one counts whatever music plays at whatever happy hour the crowd hits before entering the building."
http://shop.dispatch.com/newsarchive/Ar ... 7:2&md=dir
With a preview this kind, I can't wait to see the review on Sunday (or Monday).
Some people just don't get it.

I'm not going to pay to read it either... but if they're so desperate that they're charging folks to read the news online (as opposed to the NYTimes, the LATimes, the Washington Post and the Chicago Tribune, all of which I read for free) then ad revenues must be waning and maybe the doors will be closed soon....
Either way, I'd venture that Jimmy the burnout's yearly revenues from non-music ventures will far outpace the lifetime earnings of most of the Dispatch's senior staff. Perhaps they should reflect on that.

I doubt that seriously. They are the largest and oldest newspaper in Ohio and, sadly, the only mainstream newspaper in Columbus.Key Lime Lee wrote:then ad revenues must be waning and maybe the doors will be closed soon....
Yet, you are correct, its not worth paying for. I didn't realize you had to have a subscription to view it (a subscription is a necessary evil for my line of work). At any rate, I pasted everything from the article. It was an overview of all of Columbus' concerts this weekend (Shania, Bowie, Buffett, etc.).
That's all the ink given to Jimmy. There was no review in today's paper either. I suspect there may be something small tomorrow.

On the other hand, I didn't see too many full-color, full-size ads in today's paper. So maybe anything to make a buck from readers these days.Key Lime Lee wrote:I doubt it too but...cartmill72 wrote:I doubt that seriously. When I lived in Columbus, the Dogpatch never got anything. So why should things change.cartmill72 wrote:From the May 20th edition of The Columbus Dispatch:
