"Take another road"
I think about Jimmy doing that song for Dale Earnhart right after he passed and it always gets to me.

At a recent funeral for a local teacher, they played Delaney talks to statues, Defying Gravity, Lovely Cruise, and Come Monday.
Buffett music at my funeral? Sure!

What a Pirate Looks at Forty
I was just left in charge of planning a service for my cousin who died young at 55 but led a party of a life... He was a tugboat captin, this made him so happy to be on the water... He had worked years as a manager of a chevy franchise and hated it. The words fit perfect, he was a drinker and also had a handful of ex gals who he kept as friends... The best part if there was to be a best part of a service is that everyone started signing when we played it... Later at a wake and after a few drinks another cousin played the gutair and we all sang around a huge bonfire.....
He would have loved it, I hope he was there in spirit

My husband has told me he wants "Tin Cup Chalice" and I would probably want "Nautical Wheelers" because the line, "Livin' and Dyin' in 3/4 time" always gets to me. I think that's what I want on my headstone. "Lived and Died in 3/4 time." However, I'm hoping to be around quite a few more years.

For me, the choice is obvious - They Don't Dance Like Carmen No More.
I probably won't be dancing, but I hope everyone else will be.

although I've never been there.. the last verse of He Went To Paris can sum up just about anybodies life on here..
since my dad died 2 years ago i still can't listen to The Captain & the Kid with out getting choked up ( or watch the end of Field Of Dreams)

. So I was thinking let my family decide when the time comes years and years from now

I've always thought it would be Lovely Cruise, but this thread has encouraged me to add a few more to the list, after all, to rest in peace I'll need some Buffett with me!
I've always like the theme behind No Plane on Sunday, maybe they'll play that too.

This subject keeps coming up. I guess all of us old parrotheads are starting to go to that beachhouse on the moon, but I digress. My wife knows exactly what to do. First, NO ONE is allowed to cry except in laughter. The Mobile Margarita truck will bring plenty of cheer, I will be wearing an Hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip-flops. The Music will be "Lovely Cruise", "OP Harbor", "He went to Paris" and "Growing older but not up". Then give me a boat drink!!! I'm out of here!

I would play "If it all Falls Down".
If It All Falls Down falls down falls down
I'll have filled that void from city to town
I'll have spent my money and taken my bows
I'll have had my fun If It All Falls Down
If It All Falls Down falls down falls down
If they solve my life if they find me out
Never thought to keep all I have found
I have had my fun If It All Falls Down
