I posted this over in the "submit news" section, but for those of you haven't ventured over there, "Hey Good Lookin'" continues to burn up the charts this week.

The single moves from 31 to 23 on Radio And Records country chart as well as All About Country's chart.

It was the week's second most added song.

Billboard will release its charts on Thursday.

p.s. I'm still bothered by the fact this song is not available commercially in any format. "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" wasn't available for about four weeks until it was released on Alan's Greatest Hits Vol. 2. But Hey Good Lookin' hit radio 2 months prior to the album's release. And its doubtful there will be a video for this single, too. It may be marketing, but I don't have to like it.

I am surprised too that it isn't released as a single. Especially if it is moving up quickly, I would think it would be good marketing to get it into people's hands via itunes, Rhapsody, etc.

I doubt it would hurt CD sales because all those artists will be on other tracks. And wouldn't a single release qualify the song for certain awards and chart tracking?

I'll have to start checking used CD stores for the radio release.

Hey, I'm a mobile DJ that has a subscription to some of the CD's that the radio jocks get. In next month's Country CD format track #1 is none other than "Hey Good Lookin" - Jimmy Buffett (they don't mention any other artists...ha..ha) Usually when tracks hit these CD's they are available to the general public soon after. We'll see. But for me I got a premium copy that will be here on CD on Saturday.
