Raleigh, Greenville NC & the Outer Banks
Hey dudes! Well after scouring the internet with minimal success, I realized that the best place to go for travel advice is right here at BN...
Here's the scoop. The girlfriend and I are making a quick 4 day trip to NC next Sat-Tues. The major purpose of our mission is just to look at the Raleigh, Greenville area and see if it's somewhere we might want to move to. Also, East Carolina University in Greenville is one of the few colleges that has the Masters program that my GF wants to get into. However, with what time we have in between that stuff we want to squeeze in as much fun as we can in the short time we're there. We're thinking 1 daytime activity per day and then a cool (preferably Parrothead Friendly) bar each night.
So, we're probably gonna do Raleigh Saturday, out to the Outer Banks on Sunday and then back to Greenville on Monday, then back to NY on tuesday. I know this isn't the most geographically pleasing way to go about this but we need to be in Greenville on a weekday so that Steph can talk to the people at the University. I know there's an Outer Banks thread but there's nothing about bars and stuff so we could use a little help there and then what do we do with our one day and night in Raleigh and the other day and night in Greenville?
Thanks dudes!
PS - The eventual plan would be to have a house on a lake somewhere. If anyone knows any nice areas with lakes and stuff that we should drive around and check out that would be cool too!

Actually we're gonna be in Greenville North Carolina so we won't be down that way... BUT, it could be somethin' like we're looking for! We'll have to make a trip down there and check it out sometime!aquaholic wrote:We live on a 38,000 acre lake jus north of Atlanta...............nice area.....................until u arrive![]()

Sorry, I guess I'm reading this too late. We go to the outerbanks alot and love it. But since I'm usually there with teens no good bar recommendations. See signs for Pigmans down there and heard that it was good. We usually go to Bubba's in Frisco. Hope you had a good time. I'll be making the trip this summer. Son wants to look at ECU and Coastal Carolina.
