I Met Jimmy! Finally!

I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago in Perdido Key, FL and took a trip over to Lulu's in Gulf Shores, AL. I was sitting at the outdoor deck bar drinking a Perfect Margarita, and who comes walking by but Lulu and Jimmy! I've been a diehard fan since 1978, which I told him as I was shaking his hand. I got to chat a little bit with him outside and gave him one of our club cards. Check out the pictures at

Congrats! I saw that in some of the pictures the date was May 15th. I met him in Omaha, NE on may 15th. I know he flew in and out, he was only there to open a CIP. Any way Congrats. I was also very excited to meet him and shake his hand in Omaha.

Wow! You have just lived my favorite daydream. So, I've always wondered...was he nice? I mean, is he kind to his fans or does he seem a bit bothered? What is his demeanor in a fan situation? I suppose it changes depending on the circumstances. He sure looks nice.

Hey Mike! It was the middle of the afternoon, and he was on his way out. Ramos was trying to get him out to the car! I have two pics of him in the parking lot saying goodbye to Lulu. We'll try to get those on the website also! Congrats to you also!

He was pretty nice, considering he was in a bit of a hurry and on his way to the parking lot. I asked him to pose with me for a pic, but he said he really couldn't. He did accept our club business card and lit up a little and smiled and said "An Ohio Parrothead." I told him we'd be seeing him in Columbus, and he asked me if was indoors or outside. I told him it was inside and thanked him for his music!

That is really cool. I wonder what prompted him to ask if the concert was inside, or out? I wonder which one he prefers? I bet it gets really hot on stage at the outdoor shows with the heat, humidity, and stage lights.
