To celebrate the first day of Summer, the Reading Phillies minor league baseball team will have a Jimmy Buffett promotion on June 21st. According to the person I spoke with there will be Buffett style music, Corona beer, special pricing on their pool area and a free T-Shirt for the first 2,000 adults.

I know a team out west did something similar earlier in the year, I guess it is catching on!

You can go to their web site http://www.readingphillies.com/promotions_june.htm (scroll down to June 21st) or call 610-375-8469 for more info or tickets.

Your baseball team has a public pool (or like billiards?)?!

We've got one scheduled for June 10th as well.

Here is one in the Charlotte area. The Knights are the Chicago White Sox triple-A. Too bad they didn't research the spelling of the man's name!

The New Britain (Connecticut) Rock Cats have had a JB night each of the past coupla years. Music played btwn innings, a local acoustic Buffett-esq performer on the rooftop patio before the game, beer and food specials, etc. Not a bad time - always something whacky at minor league sports to keep the crowds coming in. This year it's on sat july 17...
