Seeing how the Down To Earth album poll was highly successful, I will continue with the next album, High Cumberland Jubilee . Yes, it was released in 76', but we all know that it was "misplaced" by Barnaby and was recorded in 72'.
By the way, The Captain and the Kid won last poll by a whopping 55%
High Cumberland Dilemma is not included due to it being a CD bonus track.

My vote went for "Livingston's Gone To Texas," but I love "In the Shelter" too.

I'm really not a fan of this album, but I do like "In the Shelter".

I notice how the songs that he later went on to re-record seem to be topping these polls (not that there's anything the matter with that since they're definitely great songs) but since they did end up getting re-recorded I tended to go with other songs instead. In the case of Down to Earth I voted for The Christian simply because I think it's such a well written song and really shows Buffett's prowess as a songwriter at that time. I like The Captain and the Kid as well (which won the first poll) but I feel it got the treatment it deserved on Havana Daydreamin', at least that's the version I prefer. For High Cumberland Jubilee I went with The Hangout Gang not only because I think it's a good song but I like how Travelin' Clean leads into it, not to mention it's very comedic introduction.

I love "God Don't Own a Car", I think that was one of his first steps toward revealing his less serious side.

I picked "Death Valley Lives"....it has great energy and the lyrics are funny..."where the dudes and the dykes all look the same"...
