I kept waiting to see a picture of the Hilton tramps...I mean sisters.
I don't know about anybody else, but I don't like seeing or hearing about Jimmy at high society functions. I know the pay must be incredible, but I can't help but feel that he's selling out a little.
Maybe I'll feel better after a few Margaritaville Shrimp.

Actually, I was wondering about that, too.
Jane is much more the high society type
than Bubba. Maybe this was a paying gig
for him and they didn't pay enough for her
airfare too...

I'll repeat on this thread what I typed on the same subject, other thread: Why do I feel nauseated when I see those pictures? Those god-awful gowns (except for Marisa Berenson's)? Those pulled-too-tight faces? Or because I wasn't invited?

Still, the pictures DO make me feel ookie.

Hey, Des.......maybe Jane was there, but off talking to some hoity toity about art or literature!

The one article said he waived his fee for the night. The other said he flew over in his jet. And he is suppose to be a member of the American Friends of Versaille. He has been in love with Paris (the city) since at least the 70's. As for Jane I can't imagine she wasn't there somewhere. By the way I love his formal flip flops.

he didn't get paid.... and most of them are his social peers. Jimmy isn't just wealthy, he's uber-rich. Anyone want to take a guess at his net worth?
I don't know at all but I'd imagine he must be worth far more than 50 mil.

the general rule of thumb i've come up with when dealing with owners of private jets is your net worth needs to be 10 times or more the cost of your jet. based on that, you're looking at a net worth in excess of 300 mil....
besides with homes in west palm and the hamptons the people at the party are his circle of friends....

I got to be honest. If I had a ride and an invitation to attend......I'd be there.....hoity toity or not. Ya never know what kind of luck could rub off on ya. I would love to go to Paris and I know my dress would look better than most of those we see in the articles.....it would be a tropical print and I would have on flipflops (with heels of course) and a big smile on my face.

An added bonus, I 'd be hob nobbin with Jimmy Buffett. A perfect party!

whenever you have a falcon 900 on order, your pretty well off. I've seen jimmy's house in Palm Beach.... its a different caliber of people on his block. Were talking the Este' Lauder family I also believe Tommy Hilfiger has a house close by.

I find that whole "diary" to be a hoot.

Can you imagine that people really live that way????
The one fellow looks like he fell asleep in the tanning booth.

I assume he didn't get that way in Paris!
I was kinda surprised that they said Jimmy flew in from Palm Beach. I would have assumed he was in his summer home in New York by now...
I thought Jimmy looked great. And it proves how versatile he is. He can hang with crazy parrotheads or crazy high society types with the same amount of ease.

Maybe his kids haven't finished their school term yet. Although I think the schools in the South finish earlier and start earlier than up North here. We finish next Thursday, a week from today.
