Sunday's pre-race

Post by bubbagump »

Yesterday during the nascar pre race show mike joy (i think it was him)said not only are there changes in attitudes but there are changes in lattitudes--referring to the way the course is laid out and dirvers tempers.
I was waiting for him say Jimmy was sponsoring a car or something

It was Hammond who said it. For a minute, I thought he said "ALTITUDE" referring to the elevation changes on the course. Then I realized that just sounded dumb.

Mark Fein on TBS Sports said during Sunday's Braves/Marlins game while showing highlights of a home run said, "He is changing his latitude and his attitude." Seemed like he went out of his way to say it.

The band wagon must have become a first class coach.

On the topic of Nascar... anyone ever heard of Darrell Waltrip?? He's from where I live. :-)

He used to race here in Owensboro waaaaay back in the day.

DW is a commentator for Fox's Nascar races now I think.
He's also one of my top 5 favorite drivers... others being
1.) Dale Earnhardt.
2.) Dale Jr.
3.) DW
4.) Michael Waltrip (DW's brother, also from Owensboro)
5.) Richard Petty

Anyone else a Nascar fan?

Ah yes, DW is the one who at the beginning of every race says, "They gonna go Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!

Alan Bestwick is also a Parrot Head. I bumped into him at the Thur night Great Woods show last year. It was funny seeing him wearing an Aloha Shirt.

I heard that too, as I was washing dishes in the kitchen and hubby and friend were watching the race. I ran out to the living room and declared "BUFFETT REFERENCE!!! YOU SEE, WE ARE EVERYWHERE!!!" My hubby, who I love but is not the Parrothead that I am, was not amused. His friend, who totally knows nothing about Buffett, gave me that "blank" look like "well, it's her house, so I better not razz her about being nuts."
:D :D :D :D
