I am with the crowd that could do without this song altogether but since they have to play it at every show, they have to change it - else they would go crazy
What about the pure country version? ala Buckeye Lake 1993

"MELLOW ENTERTAINER" HAHA
"Buffett twangs up his act - Mellow entertainer adds dose of country, hint of Prince to his well-known repertoire."
Buffett tucked "Drunk" inside an unlikely cover: Prince's "Purple Rain." Perhaps you had to be there, but a honky-tonk veneer agreed with the '80s standard.

jollymon, I agree about the HGL video - fun to see Jimmy but it wasn't great
also agree with Scoman that the song is much better than She's Got You
. . . maybe those white sox got in a load with some red towels - but I'm no laundry expert (although I should be after all these years of dirty colthes!)
irishcajunphan, now your avatar is gone & has been replaced by the ubiquitous (SP help!) red x
time for a refill - see you guys in a few

I think my Cubbies bet themselves-when you score 2 runs in 27 innings, you are not going to win a lot of games. but lots to come with Milwaukee.

Hopefully we'll be able to get 4 encoures. I don't think he's done very much of that this year but hopefully we'll get it. This is my first night to get in a chatroom and talk to people and I'm really enjoying it.

FYI, I like this song.
(The John Mellencamp song)
I remember when I got the single of it... on tape. That was a while ago. (Ages for me, I'm only 19.)
