He plays live at our Parrothead Club meetings down here in SW Florida almost every month. Pretty cool. 8)

If you are just wanting to know what he sounds like I would start with 'Seafood Platter.' Otherwise I think my choice for best album would probably be 'Laid Back and Key Wasted.'

Fins Up!!!!!!
I've got coastal confessions and a few more, how about you?

Yes and will see him again at the A1A beach bash on July 24 in St. Augustine, Fl.

I recommend getting his newest Live album "trolling for mermaids" or try Bocanuts or Laid Back and Key Wasted for studio

Also, if you like Jim check out these guys too

Mark Mulligan
Sunny Jim
Gene Mitchell
Hugo Duarte

YES! You must go see him!

I never go to concerts anymore (except JB, of course) and honestly I buy very few cd's. Based solely on the good comments I'd heard on this board about Jim Morris, I recently went to see him in concert. Even though I didn't know the words to any of his songs, I thought it was an EXCELLENT show! Very laid back, island-rocky. One PHC member said this to me: "Don't tell anyone, but I almost like Jim Morris better than Jimmy Buffett!" I agree.. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.

YOU MUST GO SEE HIM!!!!!!!!!

SHAMELESS PHC PIMPING ALERT!
The Beaches A1A PHC has Jim & the Band do our

a great get together in
Florida in December,
you should put in for your time off soon.

Did I say that? Probably.....because it's true!
Heehee....I'm so glad I could assist in popping your Jim Morris cherry!

We're getting ready to spend this entire weekend listening to Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band live in the Northern Virginia area. They're playing Friday night and Saturday afternoon in Manassas (pre-show for another Jim(my) we all know) and then we'll move a few miles north and catch a paddle-wheel cruise with another show + an awesome view of the DC fireworks on the Potomac River. I can't wait!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you've visited the website, right?

I saw him in Key West at M.O.T.M. 2000, and the guy was DYNAMITE!
Since then, I've gotten all of his C.D.s and they're all great.
"Live Bait" is a great live album, and "Laid Back and Key Wasted" is a fantastic studio album, but I don't really have any favorites, because they ARE all excellent. Pick one-ANY one, buy it, you'll love it.

Jim Morris is a great time, he's been performing for our club for at least 5 years, if you aren't headed to MoTM, then plan for 12/11 in Jax (I'd pimp our Beach Bash more but it's SOLD OUT!!)

Dudes
Volleyball starts on Saturday morning, I know there are a couple of teams that will be looking for players so if you are interested, just stop by the courts (right next to the hotel). If you get to the hotel early on Friday, there will be live music by the tiki bar at the pool.
If you are serious into fishing I know folks who are doing a charter toward the gulf stream on Saturday (mmmm fresh mahi) it will make for a long day they will be back in time for Jim and Jim, I can put you in touch with them on Friday night.

Looking forward to it!!

nope only boat drinks. We are trying to decide if we want to ride the motorcycle down or not. I am leaning toward not at this point.
