Jimmy Touring...
At Buffett's most recent Nissan Pavilion show in Virginia, Jimmy hinted around to the fact that he has been touring for over 30 years. Of course, the rumors have been swirling for many years about him stopping his tours, but does anyone have any valid information about his plans to keep touring for years to come. I know for one, that the summer would feel empty without that yearly visit from Buffett and all those "crazy Parrotheads covered with oil..."
We sailed from the port of indecision
Young and wild with oh so much to learn
Days turn into years as we tried to fool our fears, But to the port of indecision I returned.

Listen to Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Right before Love and Luck, he says, "Thank you parrotheads, not only for tonight but for 30 years of doing this!" That album was released five years ago, and he has still been touring thirty years!!
He mentioned the other night that he wasn't going anywhere at least for a little while because it was too much fun. So, we'll still have him for at least a few more years. When he decides to hang it up is anyone's guess, and I definitely agree that when he does, it will be a very sad day, and the summers will be empty.

Let's just hope he keeps going for several more years!I really don't ever want to think of a summer without a Buffett concert!I think when you guys say it would be "empty without him" it's an understatement!I don't think he's going anywhere to soon. With the newfound success of 5'o'clock and the cross-over appeal with License To Chill, i think he's struck a chord with an even wider audience. That should make him want to press-on for a while with this non-stop party!

I sincerely hope he decides to keep His "summer job" for a long time...as with the rest of you, I can not imagine my summer without thinking of going to a Buffett concert....besides, I told my "Keet" who is now 14 that should could go to her first concert when she is 18.....so Jimmy if your reading these posts.....she would be very disappointed if she missed out on one of your shows...
going where the weather suites my clothes......

My guess is he will keep doing this for awhile. What is he 58?
Maybe he'll "retire" at 65 like most people! LOL

Question: "And now Kenny Chesney has recorded a beach album." Jimmy's Answer: "It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it."
