early release of LTC?

Buddy of mine was just in Best Buys in Waterford, CT and just picked up LTC!

Don't know if they were suppose to have them out but he got himself and me a copy.

I was there yesterday to pick up Mac's new CD; they didn't have either.

probably a mistake on the part of that particular best buy.

when the last CD came out, it wasn't stocked at my best buy on the release date. i talked to the store manager and he said that CD & DVD releases are normally shipped from the best buy area distribution warehouse a few days before the scheduled release date. its done this way so every store "should" receive their stock in time for shelf stocking the night before the release date. because of this process, some stores get their stocks early and every now and then a store gets theirs late if there's a transportation problem. the store probably just screwed up and shelf stocked the CD early.

That is unusual for Best Buy but Walmart is very famous for doing that. I have gone many times the weekend before something was to be released and they had put it out. I don't remember the video but I remember being shocked because it was out at Walmart 2 weeks before the release date. They get it sometimes a couple weeks prior and are not supposed to put it out but usually some stock person does it anyway.

Check with any small local retailers, if there are any left. A place near me said he gets the Tuesday releases on the Friday before. I am pretty sure if I stop by today he may be able to find a copy of LTC in the back for me

iTunes normally pre-releases albums as well...if you want to download it..plus its cheaper than the CD...but I like having the CD of my favorite artists!
