I have it on vinyl. I went to see the movie when it was at the theater and as it started I turned to my buddy and said "Hey, that's Jimmy Buttett!" I ordered the sound track record the next day.

the movie stars jeff bridges and sam waterston. it is worth having for your collection of all things buffett.
jimmy is the singer in a bar scene. unfortunately, as much as i liked his music, i wasn't as inspired to rush out to the record store.

:D :) :o :-? 8) :P   :pirate:

I think the soundtrack to Rancho Deluxe is a great record. There are two versions of it available on CD now, one that was issued on Rykodisc a few years ago and one that's recently been released on Varese Records. The difference is, the newer one doesn't have the snippets of movie dialogue that appeared on the previous version.
