I found a song for my wedding....now I need a bride!
As I listend to the new CD several times today, I would think of weddings everytime I heard Anything Anytime Anywhere. Its the perfect song for two people who are making a lifelong commitment to each other.
Not that I have plans to tie the knot anytime soon (unless I get really drunk...I guess anything can happen in Vegas!).....however, if and when I ever do, this song will be played on that special day.

Wedding Song
That would be a beautiful wedding song, indeed.
I've always joked that "Why Don't We Get Drunk and *****" would be a perfect slow song for the official first dance as husband and wife.

It wouldn't matter at all who the artist was too me....this song is just absolutely perfect for weddings. The fact that Jimmy sings it just makes it extra special for parrotheads on thet memorable day!pair8head wrote:I had heard just about 1/4th of this song when I realized this is the song I want played for the first dance at my wedding. Now all I gotta do is see if Connie feels the same way.

When, and if, you get the chance to propose chose "Question" by the Old 97's. It's a guaranteed winner.
After you get married, listen to "She's No Lady" from Lyle Lovett or "W-I-F-E", also by the Old 97's.

I thought the same thing after listening to the song.....same problem though...just need a bride. If your fiance doesn't want Buffett at your wedding - she shouldn't be "your fiance!"

Mixed Marriage
Parrothead marrying non-Buffett lover? Talk about your mixed marriage. I guess you just have to turn off the tunes and talk to each other instead... LOL

Re: Mixed Marriage
They won't license those type of weddings in 49 states! I think only Kentucky will let a parrothead marry someone who doesn't like Jimmy....and they let cousins marry each other there too, so its pretty much anything goes! (j/k for any of BN'ers who live in KY)Elyzabeth wrote:Parrothead marrying non-Buffett lover? Talk about your mixed marriage. Congratulations!rickcrystal wrote:dean_siu, great great topic. i was thinking of starting something similar because i am getting married in a few weeks. i thought the same thing about anytime , anywhere, when i first heard it.
anymore suggestions for songs to play at the reception please feel free to give them.
This lil ol Parrothead is also getting married in April, and a song a I am definetly having at our Maui reception is "For My Wedding." by Don Henley. It is on the "Inside Job" CD, and in my humble opinion it may be one of the best wedding songs ever.
Check it out.

She had better get used to the concept.. although I would personally recommend other songs over WDWGDAS...sailingagain wrote:My fiancee would call the wedding off before she would have a Buffett song as our wedding song.![]()
Save that for the last song of the night.

Just go along with everything else she wants, and then nicely bring up that you have, and would she consider doing just those 2 things for you?sailingagain wrote:My fiancee would call the wedding off before she would have a Buffett song as our wedding song.![]()
