What was your first Jimmy Buffett album?
I have always wondered what was everyones first Jimmy Buffett album. Now to make this interesting, I am going to exclude SYKBH, BBBB, and MMIM. Basically I want to know everyone's first studio album. Mine was Banana Wind, it came out about the time I was just getting into Buffett. Like most my first Buffett album was SYKBH.

A White Sportcoat and A Pink Crustacean. Strangely enough I heard Marty Robbins' "White Sportcoat and a Pink Carnation" (Buffett's inspiration for the title) for the very first time on a local country station the other day.
Edited to add: my first Buffett CD was Off To See The Lizard. I held off on making the switchover to compact discs as long as I could. In fact our local music store had to stop stocking vinyl before I would make the transition. I think it's still one of the best ways to listen to music...

I believe Floridays was the first studio album my dad baught after being satisfied with SYKBH, but I was too young to remember first hearing it. I pulled the CD off the shelve last year and rediscovered all the great songwriting it had to offer . While many people think the Floridays CD has complete packaging, it still omits over half the liner notes (fails to credit anybody beyond the band) and the pic on the LP sleeve is MIA. If you don't believe me, compare by either finding the LP or looking at Cartmill's page.

Back on topic, my dad might have purchased Off to See the Lizard simontaniously with Floridays, but I'm not sure.

Hard to say for me. I am at the younger end of a big family so I listened to my older siblings' records for a long time. And I know that CILCIA was in that mix.
SYKBH was the Buffett record I bought. The first release I bought when it came out was Fruitcakes, but that was after starting my collection with BBB&B and about 8 other individual CDs.
