Here Comes another Country Music Buffett Reference!

Jimmy is so "in" in Nashville these days.
I was at a listening party tonight for the new Blake Shelton album. (If y'all heard Blake's "Playboys of the Southwestern World", y'all know that the writer of Brown Eyed Girl should be suing the writers of that song. But I digress.)
Blake's next single is a song called "Some Beach" (which, not to digress further, is used in slang to refer to the fine folks he encounters in the song, and Sailors are not what he is calling them Sons of....)
At any rate, in the first verse he's driving down the highway listening to Margaritaville.
Apparently there's a new law that you can't put out a record in Nashville without a Buffett reference.

Oh well, that don't change my opinion of him.
Blake Shelton still sucks.

I think if this and the tropical home decorating trend keeps going, Parrotheads might be getting pretty close to running the world! Woo-hoo!

Funny you should mention that as I heard just the other day that Bertie Higgins is preparing his big comeback album. I guess that means the Bellamy Brothers aren't too far behind. Prepare for the second wave of Coral Reefer Madness only some of us know how to separate the real deal from the wannabes....

RE: Bellamy Brothers...they can't make a come back! They've never been gone! They are one of the most enjoyable acts I've seen.

Sorry, I considered them wannabes back then and pretty much nothing has changed. Just my three pesos.

Ok before this thread gets hijacked I just gotta say that if Blake Shelton has a Buffett reference in the new CD then I will pick it up to add it to Vol 3 of my Tribute to Jimmy series.

I thought so. It's very humorous, and the video is pretty hysterical.
