My Keet has been reading the Spiderwick Chronicles.....loving them.
The Lemony Snicket series kept her fairly interested, too....
She's 11, so a little older....but she's never been a real voracious reader...makes me happy that something interested her!

When I was younger, I loved the Boxcar Children book.
And when Ryan was old enough, I bought him that hardback book and then started with the series.
Still love that orginal book! :D

We have a stack of 12 or so at work and they're always racing to reading time to see who can get to them first. 8)

My ten year old fhas finally gotten over the Harry Potter thing. She has read each at least three time. I thank whats-her-name, she really made my daughter a reader.

This weekend she found a copy of "All Creatures Great and Small" at a garage sale. Since she wants to be a vet, Mom recommended it to her and she has not put it down for more than a few minutes

If I get my second grader to read the TV guide this summer, it will be a giant step
