I can't believe I'm about to do this, but....... I would like to address the issue of cliques here at BN...

I don't quite understand this concept of cliques!? Aren't cliques what jr. high kids form to exclude other kids? Isn't that the whole point of developing a clique...that you want to keep others from being in your group? There may be many groups of friends on this board, which I can say I am a part of many. Never would I exclude anyone that was cool and respectful from joining in our fun. In fact, I can quite confidently say it is more than welcomed. And I genuinely believe that if there are any people here that choose to be exclusive, they are an extreme minority and are ostracized themselves because they have negative attitudes, are aggressive or are belligerant. (hint, hint)

There are so many groups here with wonderful, blended personalities...old, young, married, single, parents, people that have been to dozens of JB shows, people that have been to one JB show, democrats, republicans, white collar, blue collar, hippies, rednecks, slackers, students, alcoholics, funaholics, cheeseheads...and many of these groups are a result of one simple thing, which is the same as in life in general...

1) they have been around here for a while, and

2) they've made concerted efforts to introduce and involve themselves!!!

Not like people here aren't friendly and welcoming, but there has to be something about a newbie that hooks them into BN. Maybe because Cubbie Bear joined during the baseball playoffs last year confessing his love for the greatest professional sports team ever that got him noticed and accepted. Maybe it was Tommcat running off at the mouth about his love of winter weather in a group of people who worship sun and sand that got him noticed and appreciated. Maybe it was 7Lords generosity of making BN nametags for everybody and their brother, and sister, and cousin, and pet, and palm tree (literally) that got him welcomed and appreciated. Or maybe it was NYCParrothead's pic with JB at the Today Show... no, that kid would get noticed anywhere with his primal behavior, that endeared him to us.

The point is... don't assume that any group here at BN is exclusive. It's natural that people are going to form groups of friends. Some of us attend shows together...some of us get together for phlockings at Hooters around the country... some of us travel to see each other for holiday weekend events... some of us talk on the phone or even date!!! Hell, Phaw, HappyShark, SchoolGirlHeart and BrownEyedGirl crashed the freakin' wedding of Jeepgirl and RedWineMaker!!!!! And I will speak for many supposed clique members here by saying, all you have to do is make a little teeny effort... I promise!!!

And it helps if you have something relatively freaky about you... the Virtual Tailgate will take you in a second the weirder you are!!!

Ich dauere ihm einen Tag gerade auf einmal und kommentiere, was ich wünsche. Wir sind alle verrückte Söhne der Weibchen

That's right..."stop playing with you clique" I know it feels good...but please refrain!! :pirate: 8) :P
"I just take it one day at a time and comment on what I want. We are all crazy sons of bitches"
...no clique here....I am cliqueless.

What Political Clichés?

Are you better off today than you were four years ago?
At the end of the day...
Big picture
Drugs wreak havoc on the very fiber of our society.
Each vote is like a human voice.
Every vote is precious.
Every vote is sacred.
Every vote counts.
Every vote must be counted.
Finally, I'd like to thank my wife and family who have stood by me every step of the way.
He appeals to the swing voters.
He cares about children and families.
He connects with the soccer moms.
He connects with the voters.
He got out the vote.
He has a clear vision for our future.
He has a hidden agenda.
He has a voter mandate.
He has begun to reconcile with his family.
He has faced this matter with dignity and honor.
He has flip-flopped on this issue.
He has freely admitted his mistake.
He has taken full responsibilty for his actions.
He has to get out and press the flesh.
He has to get out the vote.
He has to rally the party faithful.
He has to solidify the base.
He held his own.
He hit a home run.
He just picked up a key endorsement.
He knows what the country needs.
He ran on a strong party platform.
He regrets any pain he may have caused.
He resonated with the voters.
He should be able to carry the state.
He stayed on message.
He understands the voters.
He won't back down to the special interest groups.
He'll bring dignity to the office.
He'll make a difference in people's lives.
He's a candidate for the people.
He's a centrist.
He's a man of character.
He's a man of great moral fiber.
He's a man of integrity.
He's a man of vision.
He's a visionary.
He's a voter advocate.
He's demonstrated real leadership.
He's gaining momentum in the race.
He's going to throw his hat into the ring.
He's good for the country.
He's his own man.
He's in the hip pocket of big business.
He's just to the left of center.
He's left-leaning.
He's not ready to claim victory yet.
He's not ready to concede defeat yet.
He's out on the campaign trail.
He's running a grassroots campaign.
He's running on his record.
He's the dark horse in this race.
He's willing to stand up to the Washington bureaucrats.
His record on the issues is clear.
I looked at a poll earlier today and it showed a completely different result.
If we do that, then the terrorists win.
If we ignore votes, we ignore democracy.
I'm sure he can rise above this.
In speeches, use the power fist to give your statements confidence and authority.
It was a landslide election.
It's obviously a jubilant atmosphere here at party headquarters.
It's obviously a somber mood here at party headquarters.
It's still early.
It's time for a change.
It's time for a new beginning.
It's time for real leadership.
It's time to get tough on crime.
It's time to move forward.
It's time to move on.
I've called the senator and offered my congratulations.
I've journeyed into the heartland of America.
I've met with real Americans.
I've never believed in polls.
Key precincts have not yet reported.
Let's celebrate our diversity.
Let's take back our streets from the criminals.
Making long pauses in speeches to give statements extra emphasis.
No dream is beyond our reach.
One incident should not tarnish his many years of distinguished public service.
Our children's future is at stake.
Our country is as strong as it's ever been.
Our democracy is at stake.
People will vote with their conscience.
People will vote with their hearts.
Polls don't mean a thing.
Terrorism wreaks havoc on the very fabric of our democracy.
That's a battleground state.
That's another tax-and-spend program.
That's character assasination.
That's the liberal media bias.
That's what this party stands for.
The bill has support on both sides of the aisle.
The fact of the matter is...
The mainstream press has ignored it.
The middle-class deserve a tax cut.
The party rank and file are behind him.
The people of the great state of ______ have spoken.
The polls fail to show who has the momentum.
The race is a virtual dead heat.
The real credit goes to the American people.
The recount must be full, fair, and accurate.
The true test of character is how you handle adversity.
The voice of the voters must be heard.
The voters are tired of all the name-calling.
The voters are tired of negative campaigning.
The voters can identify with him.
The voters know what he stands for.
The world changed forever on September 11th.
There was a lapse in judgement.
There was an error in judgement.
There's been a lot of mud-slinging in this campaign.
There's no smoking gun.
There's still a long way to go in this race.
They engage in partisan politics.
They're just _______-bashing.
They're playing dirty politics.
They're playing political football.
They're running neck and neck.
They're trying to steal the election.
This campaign will focus on the issues.
This country has a proud heritage.
This country has come a long way.
This country is headed in the right direction.
This is a fishing expedition.
This is a private matter that's being dragged through the press.
This is a smear campaign.
This race is too close to call.
Together, we can make America great.
Together, we'll build our future.
Tonight, the people of the great state of _______ have sent a message.
We all make mistakes.
We are the defenders of freedom around the world.
We can't disenfranchise the voters.
We don't want a fast result, we want an accurate result.
We have a changing political landscape.
We have to break the gridlock in Washington.
We have to change the tone in Washington.
We have to look to the future.
We must determine the will of the people.
We must do what's in the best interest of the country.
We must follow the rule of law.
We must let the healing process begin.
We must put children first.
We must put this unfortunate chapter behind us.
We must win the war on drugs.
We need affordable health care for all Americans.
We need affordable prescription drugs for seniors.
We still have a lot to do.
We'll empower people.
We'll fight for working families.
We'll find out how great a nation we can be.
We'll grow the economy.
We'll leave no child behind.
We'll reach across party lines.
We're a better, stronger country than we were four years ago.
We're all human.
We're expecting a strong voter turnout.
We're going to reform government.
We're headed down a slippery slope.
We're here to serve the American people.
We're one people bound together by a common set of ideas.
We're ready to go to Washington and get to work for the American people.
We're the greatest country in the world.
We're the leaders of the free world.
What matters is how people vote on Election Day.
What's happening in the ______ camp?
With all due respect....
You can't change the rules in the middle of the game.
You have to question the timing of this story
