Have been to Moon Palace in the Riviera Maya south of Cancun. The beach wasn't the best but the rest of the facilities were awesome but would like to try somewhere else.
Would appreciate other pholks sharing suggestions and experiences!

The nice things about the Palace resorts are you can stay at one and play at all 6 fo their resorts. Another good chain that does the same thing is the Riu properties, I had clients stay at the Riu Las Americas and absolutely loved it!! The are very affordable too.
In Jamaica, there are the Sandals, Couples and Super Clubs all inclusive. If you are looking for the best beach in Jamaica, by far it would be Negril
beach.

My family went to Jamaica last year. We looked at Ritz and another all-inclusive. We ended up renting a house with maid, butler, cook, etc.
The price was about the same and it was a much better "escape". Included with the house were privileges at the Ritz. We went... after about 15 minutes of all the kids running around, we headed back to our house quickly. The open bar was nice, but not as nice as having your own butler bring your drinks and snacks by the pool.

It's your world, I'm just living in it!

When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

Royal Plantation Resort in Ocho Rios is extremely luxurious. They offer unbelievable cuisine, too. There are plenty of watersports you can do but, if you're looking for wild nightlife, you'll have to go off the resort. They do have exchange priveledges with all Beaches and Sandals resorts in Jamaica, including free transportation to the local ones. It is a fantastic place if you enjoy complete and total relaxation without children (no one under 18 is allowed) and large, wild crowds. We used a travel agency called The Road Less Taken. They were fantastic to work with and offered pretty good prices. You can find them at http://www.roadlesstaken.com.
Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?

The Mayan Riviera is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I send 99% of my clients there. But the Moon Palace isn't the best resort simply because of the beach (seaweedy or what?). The further south you go, down by Puerto Juarez, Puerto Adventuras, Akumal area, the better the beach becomes.
An excellent choice, with the best beach IN the Mayan Riviera area is the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort. Can't beat the price either. It will come out to be much less than the Moon Palace for sure.
Check out some pictures here:

If you wanted to stick to the Palace Resorts, try Xpu Ha Palace, it's an "eco resort" right next to the Barcelo. Same great beach, natural cenote right on the property so great snorkeling, 2 person jacuzzi's in every room
and the Palace Passport Promo...unlimited tours to area attractions such as Coba, Tulum, Isla Mujers, etc.
Good luck wherever you go!
