Naaaa those use 128 bit encryption and spyware can't decipher that stuff. Only if you got hacked and there happend to be a Keylogger on your system...which I doubt. As long as you see that little padlock in the botto mcornrer of you internet window you are good.
After running all that remover stuff you should also notice an increase in Speed as well
Great info... It's odd.. all of a sudden I started getting all these IE popups that I never ever had popping up before... I had AOL block popup clockers... Come to think of it my system has been a little slow the past few days too!
Well the deal with popup blockers is it blocks a script from loading on a website that has popup advertising. Now when there is spyware installed, the pop ups are being initiated by a script that is actually on your computer..so The popup blocker is not even looking for that. Sometimes if it gets really ba you can just have popups all over the dektop...evevn if you are not online

The otherthing I noticed is I also have like 3 or 4 weird desktops icons now...... I don't dare click into them and when I delete them and also empty the trash they reappear when I reboot!

Okay dudes... Did the adaware and the spybot thingy and got rid of a TON of stuff!
Then d/l'd Mozilla and am currently using that... But, why do all the pictures take so long to load now? And why are my text and the buttons kind of shadowed? Is this just the way mozilla is or can I tweak some settings?

Adaware is good, but I had alot of spyware on my computer (damn you p*** sites

) and that didn't get it all.
There is a program out there called Spysweeper that does the best work on your computer to my knowledge. It takes about 15 minutes to run and pulls off not only adware, but spyware and a ton of other stuff like traces that some sites will put on your computer. I would definately reccomend it to anyone. Checkout spysweeper.com for more information.
Hope this helps!

After running ad-aware I also suggest blocking the spyware cookies. A good site that will walk you through doing this is here:
http://www.geocities.com/spywarekilla/d ... oinstaller
Grab the autoinstaller and follow the instructions. this will block most, but not all, spyware cookies.

although I have both those programs on my computer and swear by them, I wasnt aware that IE was such a bad thing, guess it explains why I get alot of stuff and have to clean up so much....
so if I just d/l the other browser it works better??????

I downloaded Ad-aware a month or so. I run it once a week and I am surprised at the stuff it picks up. I feel much better with this, McAfee, and BlackIce.
What is Ad-aware?
Ad-aware is THE award winning, multi-trackware detection and removal utility (designed for Windows 98 / 98SE / ME / NT40 / 2000 / XP Home / XP Pro) that will comprehensively scan your memory, registry, hard, removable and optical drives for known Datamining, aggressive advertising, Parasites, Scumware, Keyloggers, selected traditional Trojans, Dialers, Malware, Browser hijackers, and tracking components.
Ad-aware will provide you with the confidence to surf the Internet knowing that your privacy will remain intact.
Simply complicated.

It is a little different but it's practically all the same basic functions. It also has the best built in pop up blocker I have ever used. IE has a back door that companies exploit through Java. It is a useless component in IE that can be uninstalled, but not easily by any means. You also risk losing all functionality of IE as well. I use Mozilla Firefox...and Millions of people swear by it. Try it out...you can always go back if you dont like it
Here ya go.
