I feel for what you've had to experience over the years ~ I cant imagine... I was one of the few (these days) who grew up with both parents and never had a divorce stricken family
And I also cannot imagine a parent (Be it mom or dad) not wanting to be there for their child... it blows my mind - just dont get it
Sorry, you've had to go through all that as well... at least you can give back to your child something better than what you had to go through

Thanks HSV. My life growing up wasn't really that bad. It was just dad-less. It actually helped out in the long run when I became a single parent because I had no doubt in my mind I could raise my child on my own. I s'pose it all happened for a reason.

(Oddly enough, that was brought to my attention by a seminary student)

And I truly believe that if one parent wants to stay home, that's fine- whether that parent is mom or dad. I can't imagine being stuck in a time when my only option was to stay at home with the kids.

Between hubby and me, it would be hubby that stayed home. I could stay home for about 6 months to a year and then be ready to go back to work. Matt (my Matt) could do it forever and not miss a beat.
