FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From
1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

And there was this funny thing called "The Axis", where Germany, Italy, and Japan were allied.. Declaration of war against one ally usually results in war being declared against all allies..

Too bad France doesn't feel the same way anymore.

The Democratic Party

Post by IsleReef »

The Democratic party as we know it today is not the same Democratic party from many many years ago. Todays Democrats are to liberal and far left which is a very dangerous thing to be in todays world. They divide our country and show no unity nor respect for it and have brought nothing good to it what so ever!!!! They have made a disgrace of the Whitehouse, show almost zero moral values or integrety, and believe that the government should support them. Hey, you know what? I work my ass off to make what I make while I see some lazy ass bums who know how to play the system and get their handouts and I'm supposed to pay their way? B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Charity begins at home, not at the Whitehouse. There has not been a decent Dem in the Whitehouse since JFK (and I still question that)......... The most important issue today is our defense and fighting the war on terrorism. We can take care of ourselves here with the economy (which is the strongest it has been since B.J. Clinton's last year in office). If you want a safer future and never have to live through September 11th again, by the way you can blame that Jack Ass Clinton for, you need to see through the liberal media, liberal politicians and liberal stupid ass movie and rock stars and keep Bush in office........

OK, you pholks have convinced me to switch my vote with your brilliant, well-reasoned, even-handed, low-key, unemotional, totally rational , unbiased, fair and balanced discourse.

Thanks for opening my eyes to the REAL story...

Both of whom RETIRED from entertainment once they became involved in Politics.

(And please, no comments about politics and entertainment being the same thing...you all know what I meant! Yarrgh.)

True.... it used to be the democratic-republican party.
IsleReef wrote:Todays Democrats are to liberal and far left which is a very dangerous thing to be in todays world.
Would love to hear your explanation of what "liberal" means and why it's so dangerous.
IsleReef wrote:They divide our country and show no unity nor respect for it and have brought nothing good to it what so ever!!!!
Reasonable people not jaded by their political affiliation would say the same about BOTH political parties. Ironic that you blame the other side while delivering an acerbic, bitter rant about them - way to show tolerance and to do your part to unite the country.
IsleReef wrote:show almost zero moral values or integrety, and believe that the government should support them.
Would love to see your factual support for this. The entire democratic party lacks morals and thinks the government should support them?

So you and all your friends would personally help those in need in your community so the government doesn't have to since, as you say, charity begins at home? That's awesome!
IsleReef wrote:We can take care of ourselves here with the economy (which is the strongest it has been since B.J. Clinton's last year in office).
So it's the best it's been since Bush has been president? Well, THAT'S a stellar endorsement. Essentially you're saying "It's not as bad as it was the last two years".

Makes me truly understand the depth of your ignorance about current affairs. Do you even REMOTELY understand the root cause of Bin Laden's vendetta against the U.S. and/or have any concept of the larger picture? I didn't think so.

Brilliant sentence. Are you even capable of a reasonable discussion or are you so blinded by your vitrolic hate of the other side that you can only rant and sputter partisan generalities and prejudiced stereotypes in any attempt to justfy your adopted dogmatic beliefs?

Seriously, I could care less about which side your on, but do you think you could attempt to raise the level of the discussion to at least semi-intelligible?

"New York prosecutors showed about 20 minutes of video footage from the 2001 party that cost $2.1 million -- about half paid by Tyco -- and featured singer Jimmy Buffett, gladiators, chariots and an ice sculpture of Michelangelo's David spewing vodka from his penis. " --MSN Money

I am a huge fan of Bubba, but lets face it he is hanging out in the Hamptons with a pretty wealthy crowd himself. I don't begrudge him anything, He earned it. I don't even care if he campaigns for candidates because that is his right. I do have alot of doubts about moveon.org and I cant understand why he would do a country album with people that are considered very patriotic in country circles and then do shows with the Dixie Chicks. Country Fans might not be forgiving.
