Don't get me wrong, I love Taurus Arms, but that thing looks like it would be most effective if thrown at somebody.

Frank my Dad had one of those nice very well made
derringers in .22 mag and with a 2.5 inch barrel
you can hit a pop can at 50 yards and at 20 yards the end of a pop can
every time. I was so supprised. (even though that is way too small for my hands)

Some people are good with small frame handguns, I'm not one of those people.

well it's good for goin' out plinkin' here and there...but mainly for whippin' it out and poppin' a cap in yo' a$$. As I said...light concealable and big caliber...it'll mess ya up. My only gripe is one of it's safety features. It has an abnormally long trigger pull....which is good though....cuz it won't go off unless you want it to go off. Therefore you can keep one chambered and hot...no chance at all throw it...drop I don't care..this puppy ain't shootin' :P

I realized that my daughters are getting older and my wife is only working two evenings a week and only one saturday and I'm not working every other saturday anymore so I can make the time. My bow is kinda old but I can shoot it pretty well. It's just going to be nice to get out in the woods again
That's great. Your going to have a blast and wonder what took you so long to get back. My oldest daughter is going to go hunting with me this year. Can't wait.......Have fun!

On a side note, my friend bought a S&W 500 mag and I shot it yesterday.

a 22 and a 45 are a little different though.thats a small frame to handle well with a large caliber

Isn't the hunter model the 10 1/2 inch barrel and has a recoil compensator? This was 8 3/8 model and I'm pretty sure the standard frame. The 10.5 inch model is the one I want but i've never shot one.

yes the hunter is longer with a larger compensator than the standard but the standard does have a small compensator.they also have a short barrel model,i dont even think i'd want to shoot that one :o

Just think though if your middle finger was bandaged up it would always be sticking up (I know as mine was for several weeks after having stiches)
