Hunting is very important for conservation,heard control,etc.............but shooting something from 3oo yards with a 30-06, or whatever does not seem like much of a sport for the object in the crosshairs.........not being critical...jus my take

I agree...I don't think I've ever taken a shot over 50 yards. In fact, my favorite types of hunting (archery, flintlock, spring gobbler seasons) all require quite a bit of stealth and the ability to get the animal in very close before even attempting a shot.

If I want to take the sport out of it, and simply put meat in the freezer, I'll get one with the front bumper of my truck...don't need a license for that.

We had to settle for a 15 game streak because we ran out of teams to play. I know, it's not an undeafeated season. We'll see how you feel after we break the consecutive win record against the Dolphins in Foxboro on Oct. 10. Funny how the NFL schedule works, huh?

Obviously you guys don't hunt with my brothers-in-law. Stay out of the woods north of Bethel, Maine. Well, they rarely make it out of camp, so maybe it is safe after all. To them it's not deer camp, it's beer camp.

Like Tom said, the beer is for butchering time after the hunting is done. Nothing like a cold one when you're up to your shoulders in blood and hair
