Lake Wylie Jam Set For Saturday, August 21, 2004

Lake Wylie, SC - Paramedics for Children, a Charlotte-based charity that provides medical attention and school supplies to underprivileged children in Honduras, is hosting their largest fundraiser of the year on Saturday, August 21st.

The inaugural Lake Wylie Jam, an all day music festival from 12 noon until 7 PM, will take place on the Long Cove Marina Beach just ½ mile north of the Buster Boyd Bridge by boat.

A $5.00 shuttle-boat will ferry you from the T-Bones on the Lake parking lot (see link below for directions) to the Long Cove Marina for the party.

There will be food service on the beach along with sales of beer and margaritas and a visit by the Top Cat cheerleaders from the Carolina Panthers football team.

Live music will be performed by Dangerous Dan Anderson, the Rockafellows, the Fabulous Boardwalk Band, the Erik Smith Experience, the Lake Wylie All-Star Band, the Rum Punch Bandits and Nashville singer/songwriter Buzz Cason, writer of such hits as “Everlasting Love,” “Honey,” and “Little Green Apples.”

A live auction of fabulous items will be held to benefit the charity.

If I lived within 300 miles of this I would be there with my boat in tow. Sounds like a lot of fun!
