Hurricane Charlie stopped me.

I arrived in Myrtle Beach on Friday afternoon. Soon after everyone in my party arrived to the hotel, we began to head out to Margaritaville. This was going to be the first time for all of us. We pulled into the parking lot of Broadway at the Beach and saw the lighthouse. Started to get excited than all of a sudden a siren goes off and a man says they just told people to evacuate. We were all bummed but knew it was best to leave. Hope to get back soon so I can get inside. I would like to also send out my prayers to everyone who was affected by this horrible storm in Florida and other places it hit. God Bless

my wife and i were on our honeymoon. we got in the sanibel/captiva area late on sunday and then wednesday we heard about charlie. we ended up having to cut our honeymoon short a few days as we were evacuated from sanibel. we finally got out on the last flight out of fort myers we were almost stuck there. my parents place is totally gone, as well as there friends. some family members live in sarasota , and orlando but they are fine. oh well a short few days of a honeymoon but its all good. it could have been worse.
