Shrimpboat Sound in Key West...a porch?

Quoting from the latest Coconut Telegraph, from Jimmy's own words, "Shrimpboat Sound was an attempt to put a unique but very funtional studio into a place with atmosphere. You can't get much more atmosphere than sitting on the porch at Shrimpboat and watching the world go by." PORCH? What porch? From what I saw the last three times I went to Key West, there was only a white non-descript no-window building on the wharf. Where is this porch? Is that building just a ruse, and the actual Shrimpboat Sound studio somewhere else?

Doesn't look like its a big porch....but there's enough room to sit at the top of the stairs and have a cold beverage or two!

I jumped to the conclusion you were saying all that is left of SS was the porch! I'm so glad I was wrong!

That's actually a sidewalk on the route from Conch Republic Seafood to Schooner Wharf.

Walking that way instead of around the south side of the building, there's no telling who you might run into.

OMG I REMEMBER THAT SIDEWALK! Never did I, in my drunken state realize I was right by Shrimpboat until just now.......

Looks like they cleaned the place up since Feb. 97. All those black stains on the walls and that sign on the side were not there when I went in June of this year:

A porch on top of the roof, maybe? Something's fitzy here....methinks maybe that's where Shrimpboat Sound used to be, but now that guy who ran it for JB has HIS sound studio there now, and Shrimpboat has moved. Cool...a mystery to be solved!!

The Trails of Margaritaville tour is still pointing out the same white box
at the end of the boardwalk as Shrimpboat Sound, so....

This is definately SBS and it is very much frequently used by Buffett and friends. The bartender at Schooner Warf told me that she sees him come in all of the time. I have some pictures, but I can't figure out how to get the link to work from Shutterfly. If anyone knows, please PM me. Thanks!
