OCT 8 - Orlando VOTE FOR CHANGE show....

Hello, everyone...
I'm new here....
Anyway, I have a good feeling, that Jimmy will be added to the lineup, at the OCTOBER 8 - ORLANDO show, that already features Springsteen, R.E.M., and John Fogerty...
Here's why...
On the SCHEDULE, at the "MoveonOrg" site, apparently the group "Bright Eyes", has been removed from the Oct. 8 lineup, and it now says :
"Bright Eyes not playing Oct. 8th. Special guest TBA."
That, combined with the new Rolling Stone interview, where Jimmy says he'll be participating with VOTE FOR CHANGE, in Florida, in October, leads me to this conclusion...
So, let's hope I'm right!
Also, it has been confirmed that there will be an additional VOTE FOR CHANGE show, in Miami, on October 10. It will feature most of the performers from all the VFC lineups...(If Jimmy plays Orlando, he will most likely be at this show too!)
But it will DEFINITELY feature: Springsteen, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Dixie Chicks, James Taylor, Ben Harper, Jurassic 5, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket and Death Cab For Cutie......all in one HUGE SHOW!
Again, let's all hope I'm right!

I think if a bunch of Republican show business people had a bunch of shows to make sure the Democratic guy did not get in office it would be called mean spirited, by the national media, where as this is a party.rlj1010 wrote:What do you think?
But there is no double standard in America and the media does not have a liberal bias...yeah right.
Case in point, Mel Gibson's movie was torn apart by most sources and F911 was praised.

Can we please not turn my thread, into yet another political discussion???
Let's focus on Jimmy Buffett and whether or not he's going to be at the Florida shows....
So again, all I wanted to know is,
Do you think Jimmy will perform at the Orlando show, based on my "clues"?
(PS - Another update on Orlando....John Fogerty is NO LONGER ON THE BILL EITHER.)

Oh and f911 is a f%$^$%^$ truth filled piece of work. Give me a break...does anyone even know what anti semitic means anymore. If you say anything bad about Jewish people even if it might be true than you're anti semite. They had there choice Jesus or Barabus, a thief, they picked Barabus, but it was not there fault if was destiny, it had to happen, it was that it just happen to be the jews of that area that had to make that choice. Enough history.mexcooker12 wrote:Mel Gibson's movie was anti semitic garbage that had no factual base. Not saying I am a big fan of Farenheit 911, I havent even seen the movie, but the passion isnt even claimed to be a documentary.
Anyone who thinks Michael did not make that movie to make money is crazy. Am sure Mel Gibson went into the venture to make money as well. But I have seen both people talk about the movies, Mel talk with a passion about the love and Mr Moore talks with a passion of hate.
Back to the subject at hand. What makes rock-n-rollers so well informed about politics. What do they know that you and I can't figure out. Should we vote there way because we like their music?

I hope he'll be there for the pholks who can get there...
As for me, by the time I finish paying for tics to Vegas I won't have enough money to buy a boat drink let alone gas to get there...
One thing I gotta say is that at least they are being up front about their intent, while sometimes you pay good money just to see a show and someone spends half the time onstage spouting their views on things that you didn't pay to hear about. When that happens you should get a refund...

Buffett fans are a breed apart. Just like JB himself...

I did say I was going to play nice...to a point. Do not take my words out of context. Bad can equal hostile, but bad can also facts, truths or point of views. Being anti semitic by the true sense and not today's politically correct sense is much deeper. By your terms no can ever say anything negitive all. Also pointing out the diff treatment of one so called documentary(suppose to be facts) and one movie(fiction). Got upset when Mex started call me an anti-semite.
Now back to the beach.
How about those Avatars thingys, thats what I want to talk about

Orlando
As for Jimmy in Orlando on October 8th I would have to think that won't happen. A normal stop on his tour until this year. The reason that was given to me for his lack of an Orlando date is a political one. To be honest I just ask that you entertain me and leave the political crap at home. I'll bypass the Donkey party concert and catch Jimmy in Vegas on the 16th and 23rd. That is if I can get a loan for tickets.
Anybody hear of presale tickets for Vegas?

Dear friend,
Yesterday, the coalition of artists performing in this fall's Vote for Change tour announced they will share the stage for a special grand finale concert in Washington, D.C. on October 11. We're very excited to be able to offer you pre-sale tickets for this show, which features Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Dave Matthews Band, the Dixie Chicks, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Jurassic 5, Keb' Mo', Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Pearl Jam, and R.E.M. on the same stage

It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend
