My favorite is when someone joined 2 days ago, and they already have 51 posts and 5 topics going. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I guess I dont have as much time as them. That being said, I enjoy comming here every day and dont see that changing. :D
Each day is better than the next.

Here is the problem when your hero, your idol...Jimmy Buffet, Mr. toes in the sand, good times, I do not care about all that stuff going on in the real world starts getting political. Go back and listen to the songs written on his boat or St Barts, he mocks his whole real world life. Now he is getting big time, great new album, sorry CD, showing my age, wants to tell every one his political views. He has had those views for years, we did not care then why now? We don't want that, we want wdwgdas, Volcano or fins or whatever. You guys are right this site should be about the good times. And yes I am new but I have reading this site for years. It has been the politcal posts that got me to start posting. Maybe you should do what they do on some of the sports sites, have a separite area from off the wall stuff and keep this one for just the music and good times.

Sorry, I talking about his new eatery that he is opening to compete with Old Country Buffet. Same idea but with a island flare.

What you don't seem to realize is that this isn't the 1st time he's publically shown his support for Democratic candidates... I know it goes back as far as Clinton, and maybe farther. Just because it remained under your radar doesn't mean it didn't happen. You're just noticing it now because of his surgence of popularity.

He's an American. He has the right to support everything he believes in, in any way he sees fit. Manatees, Montissorie Schools, politicians - whatever.

He separates his personal stuff from business, and doesn't preach it to his phans, unless in the proper forum to do so. You could learn a thing or 2o from the guy.

However, that's not what this thread is about. How'd I get dragged into this discussion?
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say

You know I what I once enjoyed? I once enjoyed when people would read the other thread topics before starting their own thread. We had 6 or 7 threads about the drunk bear. We now have at least two threads regarding the Olympic kayak course.

Is it that hard to scroll through a few of the latest posts before starting a new topic? :-?

My whole point on this subject has been: KEEP IT WHERE IT BELONGS. That would be the "Off Topic Area". Where is THIS thread? "Jimmy Buffett Discussion". What does ANY of this have to do with JB?

Sorry. I'm going off now to start threads about the Olympic Rapids course, the drunk bear and the fact that Jimmy Buffett actually has (gasp) an opinion on politics!

You'd be surprised

And most of these threads are started by people who complain about people who complain about people who complain and so on... And I don't want to sound snobby or like a jerk or anything, but does it take a 16 year old to notice that hardly any of the people that start these threads are regulars around here, or am I just the first to say anything? I have so many great conversations with so many great people here, and they all have thousands of posts. The reason they have so many is because THEY IGNORE STUFF and look for the fun part of interacting with others. Now I usually let these types of threads just pass by but there is only so much a know-it-all like me can ignore!

Sorry if I p*ssed anybody off but I just wanted to do what everybody else does... voice my opinion.

Talk about a bunch of closed minded, complaining whinners. If you have not posted since 1987-shut up. If you want to defend yourself-shut up. If you want to present your point of view-shut up. You people need to look in the mirror. Guy wrote all these thread are about people complaining - what are you doing - complaining. Another guy wrote I do not want to post here any more because of all the new people. Remember everyone is a local somewhere. You are only allowed to talk on this web site if you have the same views as everyone else, been here forever, and have nothing better to do but make you don't re-post something. Give me a break.
