there is no booze,gambling or even call girls in vegas. what happens in vegas stays in vegas at least thats the story i use , just a bunch of wedding chapels and elvis look alikes. just don't drink to much or you may end up in one of those wedding chapels. ala dennis and carmen or britney. there is one sure bet in vegas you'll have a great time and many stories.

The MGM Grand arena, although indoors, is a fairly good venue; however, the stream of people leaving the show is always a huge pain in the arse. For some reason, there are huge traffic jams getting out and getting to the craps tables to recoup the ticket prices!!!!!

well i was going to add the parade of the parrotheads after the show thru the casino for those that don't take the exits out into and thru the parking lots. always a lot of interesting looks from people who are not aware.

My wife and I have been to many Buffett shows but Vegas is THE BEST! It's an escape within an escape. The Las Vegas Parrothead Club puts on a great party at Tommy Rockers on Friday nite (across the freeway away from the Strip) and the MGM "Parrot's Paradise" pre-party in the old theme park is a must (though there is some concern about the construction of the MGM condo project on the theme park site- hopefully there is still room for several thousand parrotheads to phlock.) Once you see Jimmy in Vegas you're hooked.

By the way, I've posted it on a few other threads...but Margaritaville is having a street party before both concerts....it will be on the road between the Flamingo and O Shea's pictured here....

i want to go soooooo bad! everytime i think i'll get to go something happens. go figure. I bet the vegas shows kick butt!!!

The shows are of course good.... But it is the pre parties and post parties that make a Vegas show ..... Vegas!

Vegas Shows are different in that we don't have real tailgate parties but what we do have are great big street parties, we have the last man standing party that goes way into the next morning if you do it right.

And from personal knowledge I can say that we have a police force that has no problems with drunk wanderings, and will even sing parrot head tunes. I have the evidence. My previously vegas virgin father got his photo taken with 3 vegas metro guys standing on the corner of flamingo and the Blvd singing and dancing to fins. Go figure.

Have been to Vegas 20+ times, but NEVER for a Buffett Show.

SOmething is telling me that could change this year!

Might be the closest to Colorado Buffett would come again this year too.
