While I know that there has not been an opening act on this tour or for that matter, most of the recent tours. I read somewhere about Jimmy discussing an opening act for Fenway.

Any news?

Thank You!

I'm hoping & praying that Alan Jackson & Martina McBride show up at Fenway...they are both performing at one of the casinos in CT the week of Fenway. Maybe JB will show up at their concert. Any rumors????

Don't think Alan will show up for Firdays show at Fenway since he is playing Mohegan that night also.

I have tickets for Fenway on Friday and tickets for Alan on thursday.......one can only hope Jimmy shows up at Mohegan on Thursday!

I heard the Baha Brothers (local band that does Jimmy covers) was going to open - but could only be a rumour).

Other posibility for Friday's show - Toby Keith is part of the NFL opener at Gilette on Thurs. night.

What do you mean by opening act?

For the past I don't know how many years, at the "sheds" where Buffett has played, his stage sets haven't allowed an opening band to use the main stage.

I believe most "sheds" have side stages where Buffett frequently has opening acts.

Anything new on Fenway? Sonny Landreth's website does not mention anything about Boston. Is it worth going in early?

I've seen Sonny before and I wouldn't want to miss him.

Don't need an opening act...
Don't want an opening act...
Didn't buy tickets to see Jimmy expecting an opening act...
Never has an opening act...
So, why all the speculation about an opening act????????

I love all these people who say I hope this person shows up at Jimmy's concert, this person is playing nearby hopefully they will show up. I don't know about most people but I spend my $50-70 a ticket to see Jimmy. I don't buy them and then hope that somebody else is going to show up. The year that Clint Black showed up at his concerts kind of bothered me because he sang as much as Jimmy and I didn't buy my tickets to see Clint Black.

The BaHa Brothers will be playing the pre-show party at Waterworks in Marina Bay in Quincy on Sunday.

They did "open" for Buffett on the sidestage at the Sat. show at Greatwoods last year though.

Not exactly an opening act, but Scott Kirby will put on a good showbefore the concert.
