Lord knows we've all seen football players do some dumb things, but geez . . .

Two Spartans booked for alleged bomb-planting

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Two Michigan State football players were arrested and charged with possessing a dangerous chemical compound after they allegedly planted homemade bombs that blew up outside campus apartments.

Terry Love and Irving Campbell, both 19-year-old redshirt freshmen receivers, were arrested Tuesday morning as they left the scene of the first explosion, campus police said. A second bomb exploded shortly afterward, and a third was detonated by the campus police bomb squad.

The men said they planted the bombs in Spartan Village as a prank, campus police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

No one was hurt and there was no property damage, McGlothian-Taylor said. The players released on $500 bond after being arraigned Tuesday.

If convicted of the misdemeanor, both could face up to 90 days in jail and a $100 fine, McGlothian-Taylor said.

Coach John L. Smith will let the legal process play out and then decide if any disciplinary action is needed, assistant athletic director John Lewandowski said.

Love has 19 catches for 208 yards and a touchdown this season. Campbell has not caught a pass.

HUGE game this weekend.. UGA vs Auburn @ Auburn. Auburn undefeated and looking like a good shot at a National Title. UGA's only hope for a BCS game is to beat Auburn. It depends on which UGA team shows up for the game!

Time for a ROAD TRIP! Heading up to Duke this weekend to watch the Tigers play--yay! Of course, I've heard that Duke has one of the worst college FB atmospheres in the country, but we'll still have a great time.

Maybe there will be more people there wearing orange than those wearing blue!

GO TIGERS!

BTW--if anyone here has been to Duke before and would like to ffer tips on parking, traffic, places to eat, etc. I'd greatly appreciate it!

Athletes!!! How do they do this? A few acquaintances in high school decided to blow some things up; they spent 90 days (Summer) in jail, between $5-10k fines (depending on the level of activity), and 100+ hours of community service.

Are these guys really that special?

My prediction for this weekend...once again to prove the BCS is garbage.

Wisconsin will win.
Georgia will beat Auburn.

Next poll...Georgia will be ahead of Wisconsin in the polls, once again proving that winning all your games means nothing, as long as someone has the perception that you are good.

Remember, my prediction is based totally on the theory that the BCS is stupid and will continue to prove itself as such.
