Our #2 keet is in school studying filmaking, etc..... He is competing for a $25,000 grant to make a documentary about his girlfriend and her son....here's the gist of it:
I have a great idea. My girlfriend April has a 3 year old boy named John. When he was 7 months old, he had a heart transplant at a hospital specifically for children. He goes to a daycare that helps children with health issues. I've met a lot of people involved with John, and they're all great people. My girlfriend has epilepsy, so she can't be a "normal" mom, but she'll do anything to give him a good life. I love and respect them for all the things they've had to deal with, and I respect the people who give their time to John to help give him a normal life. He really is a special boy.
My idea is to do a documentary on them. That little boy has an extraordinary story, and I want to tell it. Not for my ego, but to thank April, John, and all the people who take care of them for all the hard work they do. But to make this documentary, I need to buy equipment and get a few people to help. Winning this would cover all my expense for this. All I can really say is that this is something I can look at and be proud of. It's my way of telling as many people as I can that a mother who'll fight for her son's life like April has is someone to look up to.
He has several hoops to jump through in order to get it and the first preliminary is based on votes for the idea. If you are so inclined....could you go here: http://ideashappen.msn.com/Entries/Default.aspx?id=2564 and click on "you're feeling it" on the right side
His story is currently 2nd in his category.

some of those people have to be the dumbest people in existance.did you see the one who wants to "invent" a light for the ashtray in his car so he can see it at night?
sorta like the one that comes on most cars from the factory?
