Awesome Pictures.

Lee where was backstage? Did they use one of the baseball dressing rooms or have a set up under the bleachers? It doesn't seem like there was enough room underneath the bleachers for everything.

Did we have fun or what??!!! Zuke & I were in Row 1, life couldn't have gotten any better! We wound up on the screen and at one point I had tears in my eyes, it was an emotional moment. The Head Parrot acknowledged me & my Corona Bottle with a chuckle and a point, made my life right there! I even hugged the Green Monster, how cool is that! They were also filming something in front and they got us (mainly Zuke & the BUffett Jersey) a lot, who knows where that will wind up.

Had a blast at Boston Billiards again, it was great hanging with Tryin to Reason (aka Tatoo Guy), Mr & Mrs. Bixxx & Linda. Missing Tequila Tom though...hey, he had his chance (sorry, I had to rub it in). You'll have to come to our next Tiki Bar Party. :pirate:

I am so glad I didn't miss this event or skip it to spite, it was great fun in a good & different kind of way....but I do want GW back next year!

"Well, I must confess, I could use some rest, I can't run at this pace anymore....." Good times.

The most memorable Buffett show for myself!! :D :D I had never been inside Fenway, but to be there with all its tradition and having Jimmy play there was just amazing. We didn't have the best of seats but everything was totally worth it!!

I also most give credit to Bostonians. They are so loyal to their teams. I loved it when I heard random Yankees s*** cheers in the middle of the songs!

I think BEG should be retired and in it's place bring in Sweet Caroline. I loved it last night! Sadly, reality has set in as I barely made it back for my Monday class! Phinz up Jimmy, We'll see you next summer!

Yep, I got a picture of it!!!! He looked right at me and pointed as I took the picture!! Once I heal up I'll drop the camera off to get developed.... :D
When I was making my way around to Gate D yesterday I saw the duck with a big crowd standing near it. Just as I got there the band came out and got on the duck, with Jimmy in the front seat. As they started driving away Heather saw me standing there and waved and said Hi to me. Some guy standing next to me said "How does she know your name?"

Isn't Boston where "everybody knows your name"?

I admit I had a better time than I expected, although I really DID miss the tailgating aspect of the whole experience.

We ended up at Boston Billiards and were early enough to get seats near the windows up front so we got to see everyone going by in full parrothead costume. The manager loved us and sent over two rounds of drinks because we were getting so many people to come in to the place. I'd tap on the window and then dangle beads up and they'd come in for the beads and then stay!

From out seats (section 26--near 3rd base) we could here the music fine but had a lot of trouble hearing Jimmy when he spoke between songs. I'd go see Jimmy at Fenway again, but hope he goes back to GW next year.

no....that's 'Cheers'....a tv show in syndication.

In Boston, you are either Smitty, Sully or someone that knew Nomah.

Zuke, how did you get tickets for row two, through ticketmaster. hen we got to our seats in row 4, security said they we "Eclusive" seats and not just anyone gets them. I got mine through ticketmaster and i'am just anyone. Just curios. You must have been to the left of us.

Before I sound like a whiner. Let me say this. The concert was great. It was louder than my first concert at Great Woods and the crowd was way more into the show. I was suprised how many people just sat and had conversations in my section at GW in 2003. This show was much louder (Not deafening but better than GW)and more fun to be in the crowd. My issues. I had the damn cable from the backstop cutting Jimmy in half so it was hard to watch the actual stage.

We had great seats if it was a ball game but it seemed to me unless you were on the grass there really weren't any good seats. But thats all the issues I had at the concert.

What really aggravated me was the prices. $35 for a T shirt $3.00 for bottled water. (My fiancee' wan't feeling well so we bought her a water on the street and went in to sit down) The gate keeper wouldn't let us bring a bottled water into the park. So we had to throw it out. Get inside and buy the exact same bottle of water for another $3.00.

We parked at a garage that was a bit of a hike. I checked the prices and as we got there at 5 and I figured to be back at the car by 11 latest. I should have paid $15. ended up paying $28. Despite the fact that the garages rates were clearly published and had no Event parking rate. I almost bought a JB hat but decided not to as it was $30. If I had bought that I wouldn't have gotten my car out. Great Woods parking was free and we could bring our own food. I thought Fenway was Highway Robbery.

I hope Jimmy has the Fenway novelty out of his system and returns to Great Woods. As great as the show was, all the other issues would be enough to keep me away next year

I have to admit that I was one of the complainers during the summer. I'll eat my hat, the concert was great.

My only complaint was the price of merchandise. $35 for a t-shirt is getting a little more than ridiculous. I imagine (but don't really know) that these were Buffett tour prices, not Fenway's. I didn't see a lot of people buying for $35. Maybe that will bring the price back down next year.

Looking forward to GW next year. Hope the golf tourney doesn't kick us out of Labor Day weekend.

Hey -- I "blew out my flip flop" too! I fell on Lansdowne Street in a six inch pot hole and now my ankle is the size of a grapefruit. I was right in front of an ambulance with two crazy drivers with Shark Hats who helped me with an ice pack. They said I should take it easy, but tequilla-powered, I carried on.

What a great, great show. I am so happy I flew out for the weekend. I was not happy to be on a plane back to Arizona at 8:00 a.m. today. Very, very tired.

Thanks to whomever it was that suggested the Howard Johnsons. We got two cars there for free and got to hear Jimmy's hour long sound check just over the wall. We "tailgated" at Tequilla Rain and had a blast singing Buffett tunes and watching football and the Sox! Not the Greatwood's days of yore, but a darn good time and a memory I am happy to have.

I did like the Sweet Caroline sing along too.

I'll look for you BNers at MGM in October!

A great show

An amazing show and a great time in Boston! Started out at the Tiki Room where a met a few BN'ers then moved on over to the Avalon. It started slow but picked up late afternoon. I'm not sure it was worth the money i paid for tickets (the "buffet" was horrible) but we had a great time all the same. Although my date did fall on the stairs and break her foot, she was a trooper and made it through the show! To many margarita's at the Tiki?

We stayed at the Buckminster hotel which was a conveinent stumble home from the park and a small hobble home for a girl with a broken foot!

We had tix for the grandstand area so our view wasn't great but we were seeing Buffett so what the hell! However, lady luck was shining down on me. During the intermission, I was in the beer line and some women came up to me and GAVE me two tix for the center row about 20 rows back! i was freaking out! She said she was somehow connected to Buffett and had an all access pass so she gave me her tix! So, we got to spend the last half of the show up close! Too Cool!!! I think what did it was that i had on my Buffett lanyrad and nametag (thanx 7lords!)

Awesome experience. I do hope that he goes back to Great Woods but it was an awesome event to see him at Fenway!

I went inside the bar to sit... One of Pokey's girlfriends that was out with us is a nurse and highly advised I go to the ER.... They put me in a cab so I didn't have to walk and took it all the way up to the Alewife station from the Tiki Room... Over $20, could have been much worse... Got to my car and drove an hour and a half home to my local hospital... Got there around 12:15 (I think) and was there till about 3...
