Hey everyone! My daughter wants to try out for the talent show at her school this year. She was a HUGE hit last year by acting out the poem "Sick" by Shel Silverstein.

This is what we are looking for:
A cute and/or funny poem or book that can be recited and acted out in under 5 minutes that is gender and age appropriate for a 7 year old girl. We've thought about doing another Silverstein poem, but there was already 2 in the talent show last year and want to be original.

Some ideas we've tossed around include Fox in Sox by Dr. Seuss and A is for America (a historical children's book). ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

We've struggled a little bit this year coming up with an act we can agree on. I have to have her audition form turned in by Monday.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

-Mallory

I don't know what kind of crack I was smoking...because she even said she wanted to do something Buffetty---(she's started singing along to PTM and says "salt salt salt" for Margaritaville).

How about John Lithgow's I'm a Manatee. Includes a cd of him narrating to practice to, and I think proceeds go to SaveTheManatee.org, but could be wrong.
