Miranda Lambert

Post by Mr Play »

Miranda Lambert is a young country artist from East Texas. My sister in law has joined forces with her as a songwriting partner. Their first single "Me and Charlie Talking" was released nationwide October 4th.

CMT has a link to the full-length video on their website;

Or, you can visit her website here;

Three of the four clips sound great! Maybe hearing more of Bring Me Down might change my mind on that one?

I see on the schedule that she's coming to my neighborhood, I'll try to catch her show. :D

Somehow, I don't think Miranda's looks are going to hold her back;

Seriously though - I'm trying to get a feel for how the single and CD will do - everyone check out the samples and let me know what you think.

The CD is called Kerosene but it isn't scheduled for release until February 1st. I'll use this thread to post any updates as the date draws closer.

The clips sound good Four Play - I'll listen for her on the radio, and look for her video on CMT! I wish her all the best - sounds like a good kid by what I've read on her site!

Country Music's Radio and Records report for the week of October 4, 2004 charts Miranda's debut single, "Me and Charlie Talkin," tied for the number one spot with Tim McGraw's single, "Back When." The R and R report tracks the number of additions to nationwide radio each week. Following Tim and Miranda are Alan Jackson's "Monday Morning Church" and Big and Rich's "Holy Water."

The stations have it, now let's see if they'll play it. Has anyone heard it on the radio or seen the video yet?

Did she play in Frederick, Md. last week?
That is not far from me, but it says "time and location TBA" for that date.
So if she is playing there sometime soon maybe I can make it.

Darn it, I missed it by that much! I even like Blake, that would have been fun.
Thanx

I saw Miranda's "Me and Charlie Talking" video on the CMT Top 20 countdown this week - my girls took notice and asked if it was the Dixie Chicks until they saw her.

According to US99 - she's in Chicago today.

Is your sister-in-law doing any traveling with her Four Play?
