She is against some REAL tough stuff. Sugarland has landed 2 #1's off that album and has risen EXTREMELY fast with their first effort. However, Jennifer Nettles has been around Atlanta with a few groups since the early 80's and so has Kristen Hall.
I love Miranda, but I think this category goes to Dierks Bentley or Sugarland.

Did she have any albums out before she went on Nashville Star? I would love to listen to those if they exist.

She had 1 maybe 2 on an independent label. They were pulled from her website when she signed on with Sony. I think they bought the rights to the recordings as part of the deal...

Would you happen to know the name of the albums? Just a search for Miranda Lambert didn't yield anything on Amazon or Ebay.

"Miranda Lambert" was her only release prior to "Kerosene" (2002 I believe);

We saw Miranda in concert last night (first time in a long time). Sounds like she'll be touring with / opening for George Strait starting in January...

Thanks for the info on the album, FourPlay. I'm gonna track that one down.

And I'll definately be checking her out next year with George Strait. That'll be a good concert. I'm even kind of interested in seeing Tracy Lawrence again...

Everyone has their own tastes. But you gotta admit, it's better than Rascal Flatts.

Miranda Lambert's debut album, Kerosene, has been certified gold by the RIAA, for shipments of 500,000 copies. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart in March. Its singles include "Me and Charlie Talkin'" and the title track. The native Texan toured with Keith Urban in 2005 and will open shows for George Strait in 2006. "I couldn't believe it when I heard the news," Lambert said. "I've been so busy touring and working on my new album that I haven't been keeping up with the numbers. Now that I got my Christmas wish, I'm going to work on setting my New Year's resolution -- to get a platinum album in 2006."
