Since the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr., NASCAR had exploded in popularity and NASCAR heads swelled from the $$$$ explosion...... Too many rule changes and car restrictions have set this sport back just to make it more "new fan friendly"....... The same goes for every other major sport........

The explosion happened well before Sr's death...
But yes, NASCAR's insistance on changing even the most basic procedural rules 1000 times is doing nothing nothing for the sport.
