Subject: Revised Cost Cap for the 2004MY and 2005MY 5R110W TorqShift Transmission Assembly
5R110W TORQSHIFT TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY COST CAP EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 8, 2004
The revised cost cap for the 2004MY and 2005MY 5R110W TorqShift transmission assembly is $3,800 and is effective for repairs performed on or after October 8, 2004. The cost cap for the 2003MY 5R110W transmission will remain at $2,200.
Cost caps are established for engine and transmission repairs where Ford new and remanufactured assemblies are available for use in the repair. Repair cost caps are equivalent to the cost of replacing an assembly with a remanufactured assembly.
REPAIR COST CAPS REFERENCE CHARTS
Please refer to the "Powertrain Assembly Reference Charts" for repair cost caps by engine and transmission type dated October 2004. To access "Powertrain Assembly Reference Charts" go to the FMCDealer homepage under Abbreviated Site Directory/ Powertrain Reference Guide (formerly known as Engine/Transmission Exchange Guide)/ Engine or Transmission.
COST CAP CALCULATION
When estimating the repair cost, be sure to include the total of parts, parts mark-up, all labor (including removal and re-install), any service required by a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB), and any other costs associated with a non-exchange repair.

Well maybe that's the problem. You feel the need to respond to everything even when it's not even an attack on you! In the words of Nirvana, "Just because you're paranoid, don't mean their not after you"! Ya know, at first I was happy that you cut and pasted that article but now that I think of it, if I wanted to know about Ford's warranty policy I'd subscribe to
Ford Weekly!

If you are part of Tom's clique you might want to invest in some knuckle pads cause they can get really cut up from dragging on the ground all the time.
