OAR....Of A Revolution...it's really not that bad. As I was told they have been the rage for a while now...shows what I know :pirate: It's kinda Sublimeish, Brian setzer-ish, Dave MAtthews-ish, Bubba-ish. It's pretty relaxing with some decent lyrics. I would check it out. If anyone is really curious I will email you an Mp3.

They seem to spend a bit of time in central Ohio, have seen them on a few appearance notices with different headliner bands.

Oh ya, OAR is VERY popular here. Thats what all the college kids play it seems! They are pretty good though! Almost ska-ish in a way. I like them!

The first time I heard them was 3 years ago at a party at the unviersity of new hampshire. I have only heard one song by them (Crazy Game of Poker) which I believe is their most popular song. I like the song but dont really know anything else by them. I think they are big with hippies, even more hippy than dave matthews.

Yeah, O.A.R. is awesome!!!

They're playing in Providence again next month. They always put on a great show. They're so much better live. Their studio albums don't really do them justice though.

Their best album is by far...Any Time Now

Almost forgot...This CD has a special guest appearance by Junior Marvin on a great medley version of Night Shift and Stir It Up.

Any Time Now: Release Notes: Muze

O.A.R. includes: Marc Roberge (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars); Richard On (electric guitar, background vocals); Jerry DePizzo (saxophone); Benj Gershman (bass); Chris Culos (drums).Engineers include: Ron Freeland, Greg Hartman, Dave Dietrich.Recorded live at the 9:30 Club, Washington, D.C. on November 23 & 24, 2001.The Great American Regional Breakout phenomenon returns, with Columbus, Ohio school chums O.A.R. experiencing the fruits of their constant touring in Billboard chart success. They play with a confidence that belies their relative lack of experience, with echoes of both the Dave Matthews Band and Barenaked Ladies combining with their commercial white-boy reggae to produce a sound that's uniquely theirs.ANY TIME NOW, a live set from Washington's 9.30 club, which includes material from their previous three albums, is a great introduction to their user-friendly college rock/reggae, which even includes a stab at Bob Marley's "Stir It Up" amid the catchy originals. Though no-one could accuse O.A.R. of ground-breaking originality, it's equally true that nobody ever went broke overestimating American college kids' appetites for good-time, feel-good Caribbean rhythms with a big rock backbeat. Especially on cuts like the hazy, fun-packed "That Was a Crazy Game of Poker," O.A.R. are more than happy to oblige.

I was amazed at how well the two songs intertwine, it almost sounds like it was originally written to be performed like this.
