Went to see him monday in Beaver d*m, WI!!!

Awesome music, quite a contrast to his being in the CRB, but great nonetheless. Hope he wasn't to mad I had him sign the Banana Wind cd case rather than his own cd!!!

It's 3:00 a.m. I just got home from Tulsa. The Mayer Brothers' Show was freaking awesome. Elrod was spot on when he said it was amazing.

I was blown away by the musicianship of all the members of the band.

No. It's not a "show" like Bubba's, but it's so moving and inspirational.

Well worth the 4 hour drive up and back and sleep I've lost . . .

Oh, yeah . . . they do a "meet and greet" afterwards. . .ALL the band. And they're soooo nice.

Peter said they were planning on being back in Tulsa next year. I'll be there.

Elrod: You're da BOM!!! Sure enjoyed being with you. Take care.

Peter, Jim, and their family are terrific people. We caught their show last year in Louisville and spent nearly 20 minutes with them in between sets. Definitely go see them if possible. It's rare to get to see such talent in an intimate setting and then have the opportunity to meet and talk to them afterwards. We have since exchanged a few emails with Peter and he has even invited my 8 year old son to bring his guitar to the concert this year so that he and Jim can sign it. What a great couple of guys! :D

It was a great show! :D

If you live near one of the cities remaining on the schedule, get out and see them. You'll be glad that you did.

I'm listening to the studio CD of STARS AND PROMISES right now.

Peter's rendition of WHAT CHILD IS THIS is just about the prettiest piece I've ever heard.

If The Mayer Group comes to your city, DO NOT MISS THEM. You will come away smiling . . . and blessed. :D

For anyone in the Charlotte area...I've still got some tickets available for the Stars and Promises show being held on Dec. 16th, 2004 at Advent Lutheran Church, Charlotte, NC 28213. We were asking for pre-orders via mail;, but now that it's less than 2 weeks out you can call 704-888-6906, or e-mail me (dolphyn28107@yahoo.com) and I'll take a reservation and you pay at the door...same price...$17 per ticket. Keep in mind that you get to attend one of the most inspiring Christmas shows around plus you help a local charity...Charlotte Emergency Housing. Make your reservation now!!! Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert will start at 7:30pm.

If you need to spend the night, I've gotten a group rate deal at Comfort Suites, 7735 Universlty City Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28213. Rooms will be $59 plus taxes. Just call 704.547.0049 and request the Peter Mayer Stars and Promises group rate. It's only a mile from the venue and it includes a hot breakfast buffet the next morning.

Thanks...hope to see some of you there...
