Ticketmaster Question

Ended up buying two sets of Barenaked Ladies tickets this morning. Got a set for the announced December 7th show, then about 45 minutes after they went on sale a December 6th show suddenly appeared as if from no where! So, just for kicks I checked and 6th row center popped up so I bought 'em.
Now, this December 6th show is not listed on BNL's website or the venue's website and a phone call to the venue has only given me an automated system that hangs up on me after it spills its useless dribble.
Anyone seen this happen with TM? Is it a glitch that I should expect to hear from TM about and get a refund for those tickets? OR.... Do second shows often get added that quickly depending on the how the sale of the first show goes?

Good question Brethren Shane. I do believe that it is possible to have a contract stating that if significant interest exists for scheduled show, a second show would be scheduled.

Thank you Brethren Troyeth! I hope you're correct cause I'm 22nd row for the show on the 7th... 6th row seems much more gooderer to me so I hope the Dec 6th show exists!

I've seen second and even third shows get added unannounced before, but for much bigger artist only after the first show sold out...but never that quickly.

I hate Canadians as much as the next guy, but I'm also a Rush fan and I like Colin (Everybodys Cousin N Miami).... Hmmm.. Maybe I have some anti-American sentiment issues that I'm not familiar with.. :o

Your elevator doesn't go all the way to the top.
You're not playing with a full deck.
You've lost your marbles.

Yepp. You have some issues. But I don't think it's anti-American. I just think you're freakin' nuts.

With some artists, Ticketmaster delays the announcement and sale of tickets for second shows. But I have seen them be announced and on sale immediately after the first show sells out.

a number of years ago in Chicago tickets went on sale for the one announced Garth Brooks concert and by the end of that day they had announced and sold out 8 shows.

i would be prettty sure the second bnl date is legitimate.

But this IS ticketbastard. I wouldn't be shocked if the second show doesn't exist, and you don't get a refund.

I guess I would just have to go to the theatre on the night of the non-existent show and imagine that I'm watching a concert.

Both shows are showing up on the Beacon Theatre website so it looks like you have great seats for that concert!
