Consensus on the Vegas Pre-Parties

Post by Cousin Baxter »

So with so many news pre-parties this year what were the best hit? How was the MGM this year and how about the new street party this year. Just trying to get a feel for next weekends best bets.

I must say, I was al ittle disappointed with both the Flamingo AND the MGM pre-parties. I thought that since the Flamingo was able to turn a HUGE pool area into a BEACH lke they did in January, that they would do somethng really cool in the alley for the pre-party. Well, it definitely was not done up. Then there were the motorcyle guys leaving their thing, just kind of strutted out in front of the stage to pass on the way out. Kind of odd.

The MGM was basically the same as im teh past, overpriced drinks, long lines, buy tickets FIRST then go stand in line to get drinks. I'm not trying to be a whiner, but I think they could do a little improvement for such a BIG event!

As usual the concert was great, but only ONE encore? He usually does two or three. Apparently Jimmy had some place else to be. I think I read in sundays paper that he went to Tangerine's at the Treasure Island after. Anyone at Margaritaville for the Don Tiki show after the concert? Did Jimmy show up there at all?
