It May Be Jimmy Buffett's Damn Fault

Post by gowarm »

Is it me, or does everytime Jimmy play a baseball venue that team goes on to win The World Series? Happened to The Yankees. Now the Sox are in. Damon, No! Ortiz, No! Martinez, Hell No! Who broke the curse of the bambino? It's all Jimmy Buffett's damn fault!

I believe Jimmy sang the 7th inning stretch in Chicago last year. I know for sure he has during the regular season. To bad his luck wasn't passed on to the Cubs!

As much as I dislike teams from the A.L., my hat is off to the Red Sox team. Good luck

just luck.

Back in 1984 after Steve Goodman died, and they buried part of him behind home plate, Jimmy sang the national anthem ( I Can't remember correctly, since most of the 80s are still a blur for me lol) But the cubs did not make it to the world series that year, came close but didn't.

We covered this canard about Goodman's burial site in a long thread about a month ago. It was not at Wrigley. The story got started because of his song "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request". JB has never played Yankee Stadium.
I know Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett is a friend of mine. Son, you're no Jimmy Buffett!
